This fund is used for the general repair, maintenance and upkeep of the Synagogue building, and its equipment. Donations in any amount are appreciated.
Building Commemorative Fund
This is a special fund, the proceeds of which are used for capital improvements and major repairs to the Synagogue and replacements of major items of equipment. Donors may sponsor one of the remaining parts of the Synagogue or its furnishings. The names of the donors and the person or occasion being commemorated are contained on bronze plaques mounted on the wall facing the main sanctuary. A listing of the remaining items and the amount of the sponsorship fee are available from the Synagogue office. Seats in the main sanctuary may also be sponsored at a cost of $750 per seat. The plaques for seat sponsorship are mounted on the back of the sponsored seat. Seats may be paid for over three years, at the rate of $250 a year.
This Fund provides the flowers for the bimah on Shabbat and Holidays. The minimum donation to sponsor one floral arrangement is $75, but contributions to the fund in any amount are welcome.
Donations to the General Fund assist in the operation and maintenance of the synagogue.
Established in memory of our long-time trustee and member, Julius Young
On a Shabbat on which no one has sponsored a Kiddush, this Fund pays the cost of a Congregational Kiddush. Contributions in any amount are welcome.
This fund will be used to support any of the synagogue's activities in connection with music, including programming, equipment, production of CD's, salaries, honoraria, etc.
Prayer Book Fund
This fund is used for the purchase of our daily and Shabbat Siddurim, Chumashim, holiday megillot, and High Holy Day Machzorim. The cost of books changes, so please contact the Synagogue office for the current cost of sponsoring particular books. A book plate will be placed in the front of the book, identifying the donor and the names of those being honored or remembered.
This Fund helps defray the cost (including advertising and promotion) of all of the synagogue's programming.
Rabbi's Discretionary Fund
Donations to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund are used by the Rabbi for charitable purposes consistent with the synagogue's tax exempt purposes, to assist individual, educational and communal needs that may be necessary to be met in a confidential manner, or whose needs would bring a benefit unable to be met through other means, or whose purpose would bring benefit to the congregation.
Simcha and Memorial Plaques
Tree of Life
Simchas can be commemorated by placing a leaf on our Tree of Life. Place a leaf for a milestone in your life, or the lives of your children, grandchildren or friends. Share the joy, and express your gratitude. Tree of Life Corner Stones can be purchased for $750; individual Tree of Life Leaf is $125, which includes 70 characters.
Memorial Wall Plaques can be purchased for $600. A memorial plaque may also be purchased for a seat in the main sanctuary (mounted on the back of the sponsored seat) at a cost of $750 per seat.
This pre-Passover fund is an outreach fund. The money collected is used to provide Passover food for the needy, and to provide Hagaddot for individuals in hospitals, homes or prisons. A special solicitation is made before each Passover for donations to this Fund. We strive towards 100% participation in this worthy endeavor.
Passover Seder Sponsorship
While not a special fund, members are encouraged to donate the cost of attendance at our Annual Passover Seder. Each donation is used to pay the Seder cost for a needy person, who would otherwise spend Passover alone and without participating in a Seder.
